III.        Processing of personal data by ad agents

In the following, we would like to give you an overview of how the protection of your personal data is ensured when accessing this website and what types of personal data are processed for what purposes and to what extent.

1.Processing of data when accessing this website – log files

When accessing this website, information of a general nature is collected automatically. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar information. In addition, your IP address is transmitted and utilised in order to access the service you have requested. This information is necessary for technical purposes in order to correctly deliver the contents of the websites requested by you and is required for use of the Internet.

In line with IT security, the resulting log file data is stored for a period of 2 weeks in order to detect and analyse any possible attacks against the website. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 s. 1 (f) GDPR.

2. Processing of data when accessing this website – your requests

If you send us an inquiry by e-mail or via the contact form, we collect the data you provide for processing and responding to your request. We store this information for a period of up to two years for records purposes. Legal basis for data processing is Art. Art. 6 s. 1 (f) GDPR.

3. Subscription to an e-mail newsletter

For the subscription to our newsletter, we use the so-called double-opt-in procedure. This means that after you have provided your e-mail address, we will send you a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address you have provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm this within 24 hours, your registration will be automatically deleted. If you confirm your wish to receive the newsletter, we will store your e-mail address until you unsubscribe. The storage serves the purpose of being able to send you the newsletter. Furthermore, we store your IP addresses and the times of your registration each time you subscribe and confirm, in order to prevent misuse of your personal data and to be able to provide proof of correct sending. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Art. 6 s. 1 (a) GDPR.

The only mandatory data for sending the newsletter is the e-mail address. You have the right to revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time. Your revocation will not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data until the revocation. You can declare the revocation by clicking on the link provided in each newsletter e-mail, or by e-mail to news@ad-agents.com or by sending a message to the contact details provided in the imprint.

IV. Integration of external services

1. Integration of Google TAG-Manager

For the integration of tracking service providers or external partners, we use Google Tag Manager of the service provider Google Ireland Limited. This allows us to control the delivery of the integrated services. This tool works without cookies, but nevertheless requires a transmission of IP addresses to Google. The anonymization of the IP address before forwarding to Google has been activated by us. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 s. 1 (f) GDPR.

V.Our Cookie Policy

1. General information on the use of cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device and saved by your browser. Their purpose is to make our offers more user-friendly, effective and secure. We use both so-called temporary cookies, which are automatically deleted when you close your browser (“session cookies”), and persistent (permanent) cookies.

You have the choice whether you want to allow cookies to be set. You can make changes in your browser settings. In principle, you have the choice of accepting all cookies, being informed when cookies are set or rejecting all cookies. If you choose the latter option, it is possible that you will not be able to use our offer completely. You can also make individual settings in the cookie settings.

When cookies are used, a distinction must be made between those that are technically necessary and those that are used for more extensive purposes (measuring access figures, advertising purposes).

2. Technically necessary cookies when using the website

We use session cookies on our websites that are essential for the use of our websites. These include cookies that enable us to recognize you while you are visiting the site as part of a single session. These session cookies contribute to the secure use of our offer.

3. Use of cookies with your consent

The following is an overview of the cookies that we use with the consent you gave at the beginning of your use of the website. You will also find an opt-out option with each statement of use.

a. Use of cookies to record user behaviour (tracking)

The use of tracking cookies enables us to recognise users when they access our website again and thus to assign usage processes to an internally assigned identification number (pseudonym). This allows us to record repeated visits to our website and to analyse them in a coherent manner.

Specifically, the following tracking cookies are used:

Google Analytics

On this website we use the web analytics service Google Analytics of the service provider Google Ireland Limited contracted by us. This tool uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. On this website, we have activated IP anonymization. This means that your IP address is shortened and anonymized. On our behalf, our service provider will collect information about your last visits to our website, or how you navigate within our website, and will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, as well as to compile reports on website activity.

The data collected by the web analytics service is also partly stored and processed in the USA by our service provider. Your data will only be transferred to the USA with your explicit consent.

We use the web analytics service to analyze the use of our website and thus better understand how visitors use our website so that we can make it even more intuitive. The legal basis for the storage of the cookie and the further analysis of the collected data over a period of 24 months is the consent given, Art. 6 s. 1 (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future in our cookie settings (link at the bottom of the page).

Google Ads Tracking

We use the offer of Google Ads to draw attention to our attractive offers with the help of advertising media (so-called Google Ads) on external websites. Google Ads is also an offer of Google Ireland Limited. These advertising media are delivered by Google via so-called “Ad Servers”. Ad server cookies are used to evaluate performance parameters such as ad impressions, clicks and conversions. This enables us to determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Ads will store a cookie on your PC. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. The following analysis data is usually stored for this cookie:

Unique Cookie ID

Number of ad impressions per placement (Frequency)

Last impression (relevant for post-view conversions)

OptOut information (marking that the user does not wish to be contacted again)

These cookies enable Google to recognize your internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Ads customer’s website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. A different cookie is assigned to each Ads customer. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across Ads customers’ websites. We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can see which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising media; in particular, we cannot identify users on the basis of this information. The legal basis for the storage of the cookie by Google is the consent given (Art. 6 s. 1 (a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time in our cookie settings.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google’s server. Please note that data processing by Google may take place outside the European Union. A transfer of personal data to Google and thus to the USA will only take place with your prior explicit consent. We also have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge.

Further information on data protection at Google can be found here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Use of etracker with cookies

On this website, we use the web analytics service etracker from the service provider etracker GmbH contracted by us. Provided that you have given us your consent, this tool uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. With the help of the cookies, we are able to recognize you when you visit the site again and can thus record your usage behaviour over a period of 24 months. Your IP address will be anonymized immediately.

On our behalf, our service provider will collect information about your last visits to our website, or how you move within our website, and will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, as well as to compile reports on website activity.

We use the web analytics service to analyze the use of our website to better understand how individual visitors use our website so that we can make it more intuitive. The legal basis for the storage of the cookie is the consent given, Art. 6 s. 1 (a) GDPR. The further analysis of the collected data over a period of 24 months is based on Art. 6 s. 1 (f) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future in our cookie settings (link at the bottom of the page).

Use of econda with cookies

On this website, we use the web analytics service econda from the service provider econda GmbH contracted by us.

6 s. 1 (f) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future in our cookie settings (link at the bottom of the page).

b. Use of cookies for advertising purposes

We use cookies for marketing purposes, such as to target advertisements to a website visitor’s interests. They are also used to limit the frequency of the ad and to measure the effectiveness of an ad. In this way, we record which web pages and which articles were clicked on. This allows us to collect information about browsing habits in order to target interest-based advertising. This information is shared with third parties. In these cases, the cookies are regularly set directly by the advertising partner.

Specifically, the following cookies are set:

Use of Google Remarketing

In addition to Ads Tracking, we also use Google Remarketing from Google Ireland Limited. This is a retargeting, thus to deliver interest-based advertising on other advertising sites outside of our offer. Through this application, after visiting our website, you can be shown advertisements related to the services / products previously viewed on our website when visiting other websites. The cookie stored in your browser is used for recognition purposes. Thus, Google can record interest in certain products based on your previous visit to our website and use this information for the targeted playout of advertisements on other websites. According to its own statements, Google does not combine the data collected in the course of remarketing with your personal data, which may be stored by Google. In particular, according to Google, pseudonymization is used in remarketing. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google’s server. Please note that data processing by Google may take place outside the European Union. A transfer of personal data to Google and thus to the USA will only take place with your prior explicit consent.

The use of this data serves the purpose of being able to provide you with interest-based advertising and to advertise our products in a targeted manner. The legal basis for the storage of the cookie and processing of the data is the consent given (Art. 6 s. 1 (a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

Use of DoubleClick by Google

This website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google, another service provided by Google Ireland Limited. DoubleClick uses cookies to serve ads that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports, or to prevent a user from seeing the same ads more than once. Via a cookie ID, Google records which ads are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed more than once. In addition, DoubleClick can use cookie IDs to record so-called conversions that are related to ad requests. This is the case, for example, when a user sees a DoubleClick ad and later calls up the advertiser’s website with the same browser and buys something there. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain any personal information.

By implementing this tool, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google’s server. Please note that this may result in data processing outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. Your data will only be transferred to the USA with your prior explicit consent. We also have no influence on the handling and further use of the data by Google. The legal basis for the processing of your data is Art. 6 s. 1 (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

If you do not wish to receive interest-based advertising, you can also deactivate the use of cookies by Google for these purposes by visiting https://www.google.de/settings/ads/. For more information on data protection at Google in general: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Use of the Facebook Pixel

On our website, we have integrated the Facebook pixel of Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. When our website is accessed, a forwarding to Facebook takes place via a re-direct. The following data may be forwarded in the process:

Facebook can mark the device you are using with a cookie and a unique identifier or read an existing cookie. We are jointly responsible with Facebook Ireland Limited for the collection and transmission of the above data. For this reason, we have entered into a joint control agreement with Facebook pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR, which defines the responsibilities for fulfilling the obligations under the GDPR. You can access this at https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. Facebook has been designated as the point of contact for data subject inquiries regarding the data collected via the Facebook Pixel. Therefore, we would like to ask you to contact Facebook’s data protection officer directly regarding your data subject rights: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/540977946302970. Against the background of the fact that we do not have access to the data collected about you within the framework of the Facebook Pixel, Facebook alone has the immediate access to necessary information and can also immediately take any necessary measures and provide information. However, should our support be required, we will be glad to assist you.

When using the Facebook Pixel, we cannot rule out the possibility that the data may also be processed by Facebook in the USA. A transfer of your data to the USA will only take place after your explicit consent. You can revoke your consent at any time in our cookie settings.
